Paragon China was a British pottery company that was founded in 1903 in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. The company was known for its high-quality fine bone china, made by mixing bone ash with clay to create a very strong and translucent material.

Paragon China was particularly known for its delicate and intricate floral designs, which were often hand-painted with vibrant colours and gold accents. The company’s products were popular among upper-middle-class households in Britain and were exported worldwide, including to the United States.

One of Paragon’s most popular designs was the “Victoriana Rose” pattern, which featured a large pink rose surrounded by smaller roses and green foliage. Other popular designs included the “Majestic” pattern, which featured a deep blue and gold colour scheme, and the “Belinda” pattern, which featured delicate pink flowers on a white background.

During World War II, Paragon China produced special commemorative pieces, including a mug with the slogan “We’ll Meet Again,” which became an iconic symbol of the British wartime spirit.

In the 1960s, Paragon China was acquired by the Royal Doulton company, which continued to produce Paragon China products until the 1990s. Today, vintage Paragon China pieces are highly collectable and can be found in antique shops and online marketplaces.
